Arnold Schwarzenegger Shows Off Acting Chops In New ‘Maggie’ Trailer

In a film which will probably make us all look at Arnold Schwarzenegger in a whole new light, this new trailer features, arguably, some of the best acting Schwarzenegger has ever put on celluloid. That’s not saying much, but for one of our few real movie stars left, he’s bringing a new shine to him that we like.

And speaking of the rest of the film, the sophisticated take on zombies is a welcome one. The tone is a serious one with an intent towards the visceral. There is no humor here. This is a dramatic film along the lines of “28 Days Later“. Hopefully “Maggie” will be one of the nice surprises of 2015.

Official synopsis: As a virulent zombie epidemic spreads terror across the globe, a father (Arnold Schwarzenegger) cares for his infected daughter while struggling to prepare her for the inevitable.

Directed by Henry Hobson and starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Abigail Breslin and Joely Richardson, “Maggie” will be in theaters and on demand May 8th.
