Why My ‘Dora and The Lost City of Gold’ Tweet Went Viral

03.26.2019 | By |

My ‘Dora and The Lost City of Gold’ tweet went viral last night. If you were watching the Kids’ Choice Awards this past weekend, you saw 17-year-old Isabela Moner razzle the stage as she watched the premiere of the first trailer from her new film Dora and The Lost City of Gold from Paramount Pictures. It thrilled so many kids to see a character many had been invested in since it debuted on the Nickelodeon channel 19 years ago, finally get a live-action adaptation from a major film studio it deserved. Underwhelming New Trailer of ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Arrives

03.14.2019 | By |

Marvel’s new trailer for Avengers: Endgame, the second part of the last Avengers sequel, is a disappointing preview of what could end up becoming the biggest box-office film of all time. The trailer recaps the original characters’ journey over the last 10 years, almost like a nostalgia tour that isn’t that nostalgic. There is a new character in the universe though, that amps up the stakes toward the end. See for yourself. Avengers: Endgame arrives on April 26, 2019.

Watch Disney’s First Official ‘Aladdin’ Trailer!

03.12.2019 | By |

Diversity and inclusion are plentiful in Disney’s new live-action classic adaptation of Aladdin. Though our two leads, Mena Massoud and Naomi Scott are still a bit unknown to the masses, it’s better to have them cast authentically rather than to have them whitewashed much like Jake Gyllenhaal’s 2009 Prince of Persia video game adaptation. The First Latina-Superhero Arrives Courtesy of Robert Rodriguez. Official Trailer of ‘Alita: Battle Angel’

11.29.2018 | By |

Do we really need DC or Marvel to create a Hispanic superhero for us? No. James Cameron and  Robert Rodriguez have already done it and she’s called Alita. Rosa Salazar, of Cuban descent, plays Alita, the lead actress, or our hero in ‘Alita: Battle Angel‘. Rodriguez and Cameron understand the power of having Latina leads. Cameron hired Caribbean Dominican/Puerto Rican actresses Zoe Saldana and Michelle Rodriguez for Avatar. Robert Rodriguez… ni para que decir. Watch the trailer and get excited for a new hero!
