Warner Bros. has picked up a project titled Leonardo Da Vinci and the Soldiers of Forever from producer Adrian Askarieh, who is teaming with Vertigo's Roy Lee and Doug Davison.

The project re-imagines Da Vinci as a member of a secret society who falls headlong into a supernatural adventure that pits the man against Biblical demons.

Da Vinci, the painter behind Mona Lisa and The Last Supper, was an inventor, engineer, architect and a mathematician.

Askarieh, who is producing the film under the banner of his Prime Universe banner, came up with the original idea and wrote the project.

Corey Haim, a Hollywood teen star of the 1980s who became as famous for his struggles with substance abuse as his acting, died in Los Angeles of an apparent drug overdose, police said on Wednesday. He was 38.

Haim, who rose to the fame alongside fellow teen star Corey Feldman and became known for his hard partying ways, was pronounced dead at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in the Los Angeles suburb of Burbank early on Wednesday, according to Los Angeles police.

"It was an apparent overdose," said Sergeant Frank Albarren of the Los Angeles Police Department's North Hollywood Station, adding the "type of medication" was unknown.

In the 1980s, the Canadian-born Haim first came to international prominence in the 1986 movie "Lucas," alongside Charlie Sheen and Winona Ryder, followed by his biggest hit, "The Lost Boys," with Kiefer Sutherland, Jason Patric and Corey Feldman, as well as "License to Drive," also with Feldman.

He became known for his on-screen partnership and off-screen friendship with Feldman, who also struggled with drug abuse and they often were called "The Two Coreys."

There are some twists that you’ll enjoy and overall it’ll remind you of films such as ‘Crash’ and ‘Serpico’.

The plot goes like this - three Brooklyn cops who work at the same precinct wind up at the same deadly location after their personal problems converge them there.

Kudos to the comeback kid Ethan Hawke, who continues to deliver powerful, intense and captivating performances. One of my favorites from him is ‘Before The Devil Know’s You’re Dead’ from legendary director Sydney Lumet. Just a wonderful small film that didn’t get much play in 2007. He now reunites with helmer Antoine Fuqua from their days in ‘Training Day’ to deliver an impressive and fervent interpretation of a cop doing anything to provide for...
