Hispanic Actors Reign Supreme On New Fox Fall Shows

The FOX network is the multicultural channel of the moment, not only with the most buzzed about show on TV, Empire, but also with a slew of new shows highlighting Hispanic actors. Amongst the new talent lighting up the screen are Wilmer Valderrama, Christina Milian, Diego Boneta and Jaina Lee Ortiz. Watch their show’s trailers, details on their roles and the premise of each program after the jump.

Minority Report (Sept. 21, 9pm): Based on the international blockbuster film by Steven Spielberg, “Minority Report” follows the unlikely partnership between a man haunted by the future and a cop haunted by her past, as they race to stop the worst crimes of the year 2065 before they happen. Wilmer Valderrama plays Will Blake, the newly appointed boss of our protagonist and police detective, Lara Vega (Meagan Good) who will be complicating matters for her.

Grandfathered (Sept. 29, 8:00pm): A single-camera comedy about the ultimate bachelor, television icon John Stamos (“Full House,” “ER”) stars in a new comedy where he discovers not only is he a father, but a grandfather. Cuban-American actress Christina Milian plays Vanessa, who happens to be the mother of Stamos’ son Gerald’s baby.

Scream Queens (Sept. 22, 8:00pm): Created and written by Ryan Murphy (Glee), “Scream Queens” is an over-the-top, biting satire, part black comedy, part slasher flick and a modern take on the classic whodunit. This comedy-horror murder-mystery in which a devil-clad killer targets Wallace University’s most elite sorority house, where a tragedy occurred 20 years earlier, has every character under suspicion for murder…or they could easily be the next victim. Mexican actor Diego Boneta, who joins a star-studded lineup composed of Emma Roberts (Chanel Oberlin), Jamie Lee Curtis (Dean Cathy Munsch), Lea Michele (Hester), Abigail Breslin (Chanel #5), Nick Jonas (Boone) and Ariana Grande (Chanel #2), plays Pete Martinez who could or could not be the killer.

Rosewood (September 23, 8:00pm): Set against the vibrant backdrop of one of the world’s hottest cities – Miami – this new medical procedural is the story of Dr. Beaumont Rosewood, Jr., the city’s top private pathologist. Brilliant, cool with tons of charisma, Rosewood teams up with the tough-as-nails Detective Annalise Villa (Jaina Lee Ortiz, “The After”), to uncover clues no one else sees and help the Miami PD solve the city’s most challenging cases. While she’s impressed by Rosewood’s incredible abilities, his constant optimism is more annoying than it is infectious. But somehow, week-to-week, this unlikely tag team will solve many crimes together.
