‘Oz The Great And Powerful’ Biggest Hit Of 2013!

In its second week ‘Oz the Great and Powerful’ stays on top and becomes the biggest hit of 2013 with $42.2 million dollars and a total of $145 million dollars. The James Franco vehicle has proven to have more of a success domestically than internationally, showing Americans hold ‘The Wizard of Oz’ closer to their hearts.

Halle Berry’s ‘The Call’ opened at number two with $17.1 million dollars, which took everyone by surprise. This is one of Berry’s top three best debuts, that’s not saying much, but it’s not a bad number for Sony.

Unfortunately, the comedy ‘The Incredible Burt Wonderstone’ only earned $10.3 million dollars. The film has two iconic comedians, but that wasn’t enough to give it enough pull at the box office. This is another flop for Warner Bros. studios this year.
