As 2019 is in full swing, I take a look at the 2018 movies that have either stirred or upended my consciousness, those that somehow made me look at life differently, perhaps changed my perception of something, or made me appreciate the things I had disregarded before. Here are my Top 10 favorite films of 2018

Do we really need DC or Marvel to create a Hispanic superhero for us? No. James Cameron and  Robert Rodriguez have already done it and she’s called Alita. Rosa Salazar, of Cuban descent, plays Alita, the lead actress, or our hero in ‘Alita: Battle Angel‘. Rodriguez and Cameron understand the power of having Latina leads.
