Watch Trailer #2 Of Netflix’s ‘The Punisher’

10.19.2017 | By |

There have been three different versions of The Punisher on screen and the last one I saw, I walked out of for being offensive to my tastes. This TV adaptation that Marvel and Netflix have joined forces on seems to have the potential to be the definitive work of the comic book anti-hero. Watch the trailer and leave your thoughts in the comments below… Read More

The New ‘Justice League’ Trailer Is Here!

03.25.2017 | By |

The second trailer for Warner Bros. and DC’s Justice League trailer is here and is beginning to become more credible with each footage that is released. Still no sign of Superman which I’m assuming will be the BIG reveal within the movie. Though Amy Adam’s Lois Lane does make a quick cameo. What do you guys think so far of the trailer? Will you go see it or are you done with DC and their disappointments? Leave comments below.

This Week In Movies: ‘Batman v Superman,’ ‘Born To Be Blue’

03.21.2016 | By |

We’re a little more than half-way through March and this week’s movies offer a little somehting for everyone. One which has captivated my attention is Ethan Hawke’s Born To Be Blue, a jazz film about Chet Baker, arguably the most popular trumpeter after Miles Davis and Dizzy Gillespie. I had met with Hawke last year and he showed me several pics of the production and we discussed favorite albums plus his legacy. Also, we should address the armored bat in the room – Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. This is the most anticipated film of 2016. The reason it is more anticipated than Captain America: Civil War, is the tremendous pressure and risk behind the success of WB and DC’s franchise set-up film. Read More

‘Iron Man 3’: The official theatrical trailer!

10.23.2012 | By |

'Iron Man 3': The official theatrical trailer!

It’s finally here! The complete and official IRON MAN 3 trailer! It was worth the wait and boy does it ever deliver! This erases the failure of the last one, part 2, which was a complete mess. We see Tony Stark/Iron Man finding his world reduced to rubble by a malevolent enemy and he must use his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him as he seeks to destroy the enemy and his cohorts.

Starring Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale with Jon Favreau and Ben Kingsley, “Iron Man 3” is directed by Shane Black from a screenplay by Drew Pearce and Shane Black and is based on Marvel’s iconic Super Hero Iron Man, who first appeared on the pages of “Tales of Suspense” (#39) in 1963 and had his solo comic book debut with “The Invincible Iron Man” (#1) in May of 1968.

The plot: Marvel’s “Iron Man 3” pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

The film releases May 3, 2013, and is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.

‘The Amazing Spider-Man’: New Australian trailer!

05.29.2012 | By |

'The Amazing Spider-Man': New Australian trailer!

A movie trailer can often make or destroy a film, especially a blockbuster film. It all depends on which part of the story the studio decides to focus on. In the case of ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’, Columbia Pictures focused on telling the origins of Spider-Man and his search for his abandonment by his parents to American audiences. But that’s not the case in Australia where their new trailer for the arachnid hero is much more entertaining, more balanced with action and humor and less oriented to Spidey’s origins.

To be frank, this is the best preview of the film we’ve seen, and if American audiences had seen this first, we would be discussing how tough the competition would be against “The Avengers“. The American versions of the Spidey trailers are dark in tone, dramatic, and do not have the trademark humor with which we grew up reading in the Marvel comics and Saturday morning cartoons.

The Australian international trailer gives us some new scenes we can sink our teeth into such as The Lizard dialogue, and interactions with Parker and Gwen Stacy.

“The Amazing Spider-Man” opens on July 3 in the United States.

By registering on this link it will allow you to get 2 free tickets to see a sneak peek of Marc Webb’s ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ in 13 of the most important cities in the world. New York is one of them, but it is sold out as well as Los Angeles. I know because I went on it and this is what I got… (see image below).

Curiously enoiugh, Mexico City so far has not sold out yet. Is it that word hasn’t gone out over there yet or Mexicans aren’t into Spider-Man? I registered there for kicks and giggles and managed to snap up 2 tickets for the Mexican capital. The pass is in our rockin’ Spanish language, but of course I’m not traveling down there to see it, but if you are reading this and live down there, you’re more than welcome to use it. We’ll leave the 2 Mexico passes in the below jpg. If they don’t work though, ShowBizCafe.com is not responsible.

Nevertheless, the sneak peek promises to provide the lucky winners never-before-seen footage in a global event. Along with the new footage, there will be other surprises associated with the event next week. The Amazing Spider-Man opens in Japan on June 30 and July 3 in the US. Rumor has it that Andrew Garfield will show up to either the NYC or LA one, but you never know.

Again, www.TheUntoldStoryBegins.com is the link where tickets can be reserved. Sneaks will take place in New York, Los Angeles, Berlin, London, Madrid, Paris, Mexico City, Moscow, Rio, Rome, Seoul, Sydney and Tokyo.

Take a look at the trailer here if you haven’t seen it yet.

Viggo Mortensen could be Zod in Superman Reboot

02.25.2011 | By |

Viggo Mortensen could be Zod in Superman Reboot

How cool that Argentina raised Viggo Mortensen could be in the new Superman Reboot? The Spanish speaking actor, poet, musician, photographer and painter is being pursued by producer Christopher Nolan and director Zack Snyder to play the main villain, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Viggo Mortensen, known for The Lord of the Rings trilogy and who is in discussions for Universal’s Snow White and the Huntsman, is said to be at the top of the list to play General Zod, the evil and super-powered scientist first introduced in Superman II from 1980 played by Terrence Stamp. The question is now which role will Mortensen want to do more?

The actor who made the  Spanish speaking film ‘Alatriste’ is said to be just a “person of interest,” much like Kevin Costner is for the role of Jonathan Kent. The shot of both of them getting their respective gigs is pretty solid.

Director Zack Snyder is in the midst of meeting various actors for the Zod and Kent roles and three female parts well. There is no secret that whoever lands these sough after roles will be having a very nice life for the next ten years as Superman is looking to become a WB franchise for the ages.

Check out our interview we did with Viggo for his movie ‘Good’ a few years ago: click here.

Below is the character of Zod that Mortensen might play soon. Terrence Stamp originated the role in 1980 for Superman II.
