We begin the last week of February with eight movie releases and they’re mostly a combination between B-Movies and foreign films. Perhaps the biggest film of the week is ‘Son of God’ from 20th Century Fox which is making a big push with Hispanic audiences. Interesting is that they’re pushing a “Latino” Jesus, yet he was born in Lisbon, Portugal, making him European and Portuguese, not Latino from Latin America. Fox must think we’re idiots to fall for this gag. Nevertheless, audiences should have fun with the return of Liam Neeson to the B-movie genre with Non-Stop (directed by a Spaniard). Absurd escapism at its best!
