This Week In Movies: ‘Widows,’ ‘Instant Family, ‘At Eternity’s Gate’

‘This Week In Movies’ is a weekly article that catches you up on all eight new film releases coming out in theaters. With Thanksgiving nearby, we have seven films that provide us with a deeper meaning of life and escape us into world’s not fit for the faint of heart. Read on! As of this writing, we’re in the middle of Novemeber with Thanksgiving right around the corner. Some of the movies released this week will have staying power through the November holiday, but others not so much. My favorite pick of the week is the female-heist movie Widows. The opening sequence is some of the most captivating moviemaking you’ll see all year. Michelle Rodriguez gets to practice some of her Spanish, and oh, get ready for the twists! Art lovers will be interested in Julian Schnabel’s Vincent Van Gogh film – At Eternity’s Gate. Willem Dafoe plays Vincent, while Guatemalan actor Oscar Isaac plays Paul Gaugin.
