This week, Britney Spears woke up to a bad dream when she found out that her latest single, “Work Bitch,” leaked a whole day before its scheduled premiere.
Last Tuesday via Twitter, the singer announced that the song would premiere worldwide on Sept. 16, but Sunday morning plans changed.
Spears and her team went to work to move up the radio and iTunes debuts for the official tune to 3 p.m. on Sunday. According to Billboard, Adam Leber, the singer’s manager, said it was “disheartening that one bad apple had to spoil [the] release for the entire fan community.”
Britney’s new club banger– co-written with the help of Willi.i.am and others – is a full on EDM cut with a strong beat that tells it straight: if you want something you have to work for it.
The now 31-year-old has been working for it from the age of 11 when she was cast in the Disney TV series, The Mickey Mouse Club and since then her life has been pretty much like the chorus of “Work Bitch.”
You wanna hot body
You want a bugatti
You wanna maseratti
You better work bitch
You want a lamborghini
Look hot in a bikini
You better work bitch
You wanna live fancy
Live in a big mansion
Party in France
Still don’t believe me, allow me to show you.
Last Sunday, the singer revealed her hot new bod on a Twitter pic that shows her rocking a turquoise bikini and silver pumps on the set of the single’s video shoot.
In 2010, according to the website X17, Brit splurged a cool $150 thousand on a new Maserati after dropping by the dealership with her mom.
Back in 2007, yes during the star’s unstable year, she opted out of simply sipping martinis and decided swim in one instead.
In 2012, after landing the job as a judge on the second season of “The X Factor,” the Princess of Pop bought herself a multi-million dollar mansion in Thousand Oaks, Calif.
Finally, during her Oct. 2011 “Femme Fatale” tour stop in Montpellier, France she showed fans her risqué party side by giving an audience member the pole dance of his life.
Let us know what you think of Britney’s life as a description to her chorus, and if you are loving or hating the song.
