Danny Trejo has joined the cast of “Pendejo,” a romantic comedy by writer/director Jairaj Walia, of Gr8 Dane Films. Trejo (“Grindhouse,” “Machete,” “xXx”) is set to play a character that departs from his typical ‘tough guy’ persona, although we’re sure he’ll still bring his signature intensity to the screen.
The film follows a rich, spoiled brat who is forced to work at his father’s company as a lowly maintenance man. Trejo plays his boss and mentor, providing some tough love and hard-earned wisdom. It’s a surprising turn for Trejo, but one that fans are excited to see as he continues to expand his range in Hollywood.
