The “1-4-0”: #EndlessLove or just endless? It is empty and expected rather than the passionate, wild and obsessive tween flick that it promised to be.
The Gist: When Jade Butterfield (Gabriella Wilde), a privileged daddyâs girl meets David Elliot (Alex Pettyfer), the son of a mechanic, a forbidden love affair sparks forcing her to choose between following her dadâs orders and blindly following true love.
The Highlights: Perhaps it will show overprotective fathers that they need to chill out.
The Lowlights: A stale romance that seems to have gotten its inspiration from an American Eagle commercial where the main characters are played by Barbie and Ken. It feels scripted, cliché, and there is no depth between the lovers. Their relationship is defined by a very awkward âfirst timeâ scene, endless making out, and one anticlimactic rebel moment. The girlâs father is the usual rich asshole and her mom seems to live in the moon half of the time. In the end, this would have been better as a made-for-TV movie by ABC Family.
Pay or Nay: Unless you are between the ages of 13-16 and completely infatuated with a significant other â in which case youâll be making out with him or her throughout the whole film instead of watching â this movie is not for you, in fact, it totally spits on Valentineâs Day.
