Luis Jimenez comes back to NYC radio! Almost a year after leaving Univision Radio, radio star Luis Jimenez is back on Spanish language radio on SBS’s AMOR 93.1FM. The announcement was made live on AMOR at around 5 pm by Polito Vega who introduced Luis Jimenez. According to Jimenez, he will officially be back next Thursday, February 12th beginning live at 6 AM. He will be joined by his original team (which will include Jack Rico and his Peliculeando movie review segment).

Disney this week announced that they created their first ever Latina Princess and her name will be Princess Elena of Avalor. Here’s the catch, she will only exist as part of the Disney Junior cable TV world and not in film which is where the mainstream masses could really have felt her presence. To keep her ensconced from broad platforms such as the movie arena, unlike the African-American Princess in 2009’s The Princess and the Frog, is something that should have all Hispanics pondering on why the decision of relegating her to the whims of 2-7 year olds? Escogí, en mi opinión, las 10 mejores películas latinas de la década entre los años 2000-2009. Todo el mundo hace sus listas de los 10 mejores de Hollywood, pero pienso que el cine latinoamericano se merece su propio reconocimiento. Para ser estricto, no incluí filmes de España sino que me enfoqué en filmes desde Mexico hasta la punta de Argentina.
