“Musts, Maybes, And Nevers”: Former Paramount President Writes Book On Truth Of Movie Industry

10.9.2013 | By |

I usually don’t have much time to read books. My literature is mostly composed from films, documentaries, newspapers, radio, podcasts, web journals, but not hundred paged books. In the case of “Musts, Maybes, and Nevers: A Book About the Movies” by David V. Picker, I conceded victory to him for engaging me from the preface. Read More

The film’s debut also marks the start of #ArtForFreedom, an online global platform where anyone can submit art in response to: “What does freedom mean to you?” Read More

Do You Like The New ‘Yahoo!’ Logo?

09.5.2013 | By |

Like with every company, things once in a while need to be refreshed. In the case of Yahoo!, it was time for the iconic logo to meet its maker and say goodbye to the cyberworld and welcome in a new one. But does anything classic ever need refreshing? Does “The Wizard of Oz” really need to be in 3D? Would people have been fine without a rebrand? Read More

This Week In Movies… ‘Riddick,’ ‘Salinger,’ ‘Mission Park’

09.3.2013 | By |

Sixteen movie releases. This is one of the rare weeks where half of the new Hollywood releases are documentaries and my most anticipated viewing is a documentary as well – Salinger. What is it? Perhaps it’s the Labor Day dates that aren’t too kind to studio pockets, perhaps it’s the public demand for more informative films and less escapism. “Why read a book when you can watch the documentary?” Or maybe it’s just a coincidence. ‘N Sync VMA Reunion: A Success Or Utter Failure?

08.26.2013 | By |

I woke up in Bilbao, Spain on Sunday and checked my Twitter account. To my absolute disbelief, I find out via my feed that ‘N Sync could be reuniting live at the MTV VMA’s 2013. My mind went dark for a sec. Last I heard, Justin Timberlake, The President of Pop, had said no to a reunion and JC Chasez adamantly denied EVER getting back together to The Hollywood Reporter. So what gives? Could these rumors be true? I went to sleep and when I woke up the next day, my eyes could not believe the photographs, later the video – ‘N Sync was real again, even if less than a few minutes. Read More

Should Hollywood Make An A-Rod Movie?

08.8.2013 | By |

It was painful to watch Yankee third baseman Alex Rodriguez at the press conference the other evening in Chicago. He seemed regretful to be in this public position again – accused of taking illegal performance enhancing drugs. He never confessed to it, but he also never denied it, which in itself, is a sign of culpability in the court of public opinion. Read More
