Pitbull premiered his video for “Wild Wild Love” on Vevo and it failed to impress. The single which features American-British-Canadian girl group G.R.L already feels watered down compared to his most recent duos with other female singers like “Timber” feat. Kesha and “Feel This Moment” feat. Christina Aguilera.
On paper the video sounds like it should be Pitbull’s sexiest and most dominant video to date — It starts off at the Playboy Mansion, highlights an all-girl group of gorgeous diverse women, then it moves to the luxurious Viscaya Mansion in Miami –Â but on camera it’s anticlimactic. It’s filled with closeups that don’t let you fully appreciate the view, and the “business women” roles that the singers play are just distracting and annoying — the only person that can pull off business attire in a warm weather setting is Pitbull.
The rapper has made a huge name for himself, The Hollywood Reporter named him “Music’s new Don,” so the expectations are high. I know he’ll get it together and his upcoming collaborations and videos will actually meet those standards. He’s Pitbull, he’s bound to have a couple of hot songs coming soon and I’m soooo looking forward to those to wash the bad taste of “Wild Wild Love” out of my mouth.
