Watch My ‘What To Do’ Weekend Suggestions On TODAY!

07.7.2016 | By |

Here is my appearance on the TODAY Show from July 2016, sharing my “What To Do” weekend suggestions!

It was great to join the team to discuss the big new movies hitting theaters. The whole family was excited for the animated comedy The Secret Life of Pets, while Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates was the R-rated laugh-out-loud pick.

The opening comment from Willie and Natalie about what I’m wearing is hilarious. And there’s some good info in the segment too about some ideas of what to see and read this weekend.

Check out the full segment right here!

Rob Reiner On Trump Movie, Sequels, Superheroes And TV

05.9.2016 | By |

*Updated December 2025

In 2016, I sat down with Rob to discuss his film Being Charlie. It was a departure from his usual romantic comedies or political dramas; it was a raw, semi-autobiographical film written by his son Nick Reiner, detailing Nick’s harrowing battle with drug addiction and homelessness. Revisiting that conversation now, in the wake of this unspeakable tragedy, the words read less like a press interview and more like a ominous premonition of a wound that never truly healed. ‘Hamilton’ Scores Record-Setting 16 Tony Nominations: See Complete List

05.3.2016 | By |

The nominations for the 70th annual Tony Awards announcement were a historic moment for Broadway and for diversity this morning – Puerto Rican icon Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Hamilton scored a record-setting 16 nominations. On the play side, Long Day’s Journey Into Night had 7 nominations, most by a play this year. Latinos made their presence felt this year by having Costa Rican Danny Burstein nominated for Best Actor in a Musical for Fiddler On The Roof, Colombian choreographer Sergio Trujillo for On Your Feet! and Puerto Rican Lin-Manuel Miranda for ‘Hamilton’ for Best Actor in a Musical as well. Years ago, one Latino nominated for a Tony was historic, now 3 of them are. Times are a changin’. Read More

This Week In Movies: ‘The Huntsman,’ ‘Elvis & Nixon,’ ‘A Hologram for the King’

04.19.2016 | By |

We’re in the middle of April and this week in movies offers us some bizarre movie releases. First, we need to talk about this new Tom Hanks movie, A Hologram for the King, which isn’t getting any buzz, no coverage, no interviews with Hanks and no marketing or promotion whatsoever. What Twilight Zone reality are we living in? Never have we ever been privy to a Tom Hanks film that isn’t some event. Just bizarre all around.

04.19.2016 | By |

Jeez, we’ve been waiting a year for this trailer to drop. Harvey Weinstein finally gives us a look at Hands Of Stone, based on the legendary Panamanian pugilist Roberto Duran and his equally legendary trainer Ray Arcel who changed each other’s lives. 3 Ideas For The Next Hit Netflix Show

04.4.2016 | By |

Netflix is on a major roll when it comes to original series. From ‘House Of Cards’ to ‘Daredevil’ to ‘Master Of None,’ Netflix original programming has stretched out across all genres, roping in a huge variety of fans and earning endless critical acclaim. We’ve even reached the point at which critical response doesn’t seem to matter much to audiences. The recently uploaded Will Arnett series was trashed by the critics aggregated at Rotten Tomatoes, and yet the same site shows that 81% of viewers enjoyed watching. That’s indicative of where Netflix is right now. People are enjoying their series no matter what. Read More
