In her latest film The Boy Next Door, very reminiscent of Beyoncé’s Obsessed, Lopez leads the cast in this psychological thriller that explores a forbidden attraction that goes much too far. Considering that all movies cannot be compared equally, especially when Hollywood’s fingerprints are all over one film and an auteur’s vision is all over another, I have divided them into two categories, commercial and independent.
