05.28.2014 | By |

For anyone who has ever had the chance to enter the nostalgic and historic landmark space of Café Carlyle in Manhattan, it feels like you’ve time-traveled back to a different era, one which was always full of familiar friends, intellectual conversations about the theater, cuisine and  most importantly – music. It is this latter reason why I donned my best summer jacket and strutted in with my illustrious wife to see opening night of Megan Hilty crooning her way into the musical grooves of my mind and heart. 05.27.2014 | By |

Oh graduation, that day when high school and college seniors celebrate all the hard work (and partying) they’ve accomplished in the past four years with traditions such as the oversized gowns, the hat throwing, the blaring of the “Pomp and Circumstance March” and of course the commencement speaker that just … puts … you … to … zzzzzzz. This Week In Movies: ‘X-Men: Days Of Future Past,’ ‘Blended’

05.19.2014 | By |

We have two more weeks to go in May and the 13 new film releases for this week are lukewarm at best. There are exceptions. The new X-Men film, which I saw, is very good, but not better than “Captain America: The Winter Soldier“, which is the film that all superhero films will be compared to against this year. Some other films have star-studded casts, yet have no buzz around it from their respective studios as if they weren’t interested in promoting them. I could barely find descent trailers from them. Regardless, they are listed here for your information.     Read More
