There have been a plethora of fan-made Superman trailers here and there, some of them even raising an eyebrow or two for its skill, but after I saw this trailer made by the very adroit YouTube host silverlightsaber, there is no need to see any other one. In my opinion, this is the definitive Christopher Reeve Superman trailer. I literally got chills watching it and hearing Hans Zimmer’s Man of Steel composition. When I first met Cáthia, I was at the Telemundo NY offices. About to do my movie review segment live in Spanish, I heard the anchor tease she was coming up next. Immediately, I asked the producers if I could meet her and they acquiesced swiftly. Backstage, there she was, zestful, humble, and talkative. She was with her sweet mother and her dynamic manager while I badgered her with questions about her singing in Spanish on The Voice. I just couldn’t believe she did that on national English language TV. It was groundbreaking.

And here we have it. The first official photograph of Benicio Del Toro playing Colombian druglord Pablo Escobar in Paradise Lost. I had written an article about the news back in November of 2012 about Del Toro taking the gig after his “savage” performance in Oliver Stone’s Savages. He stole all the scenes in that film and the word was that he could even be nominated come award season time.
