A lot of TV news (Breaking Bad, Homeland) has hindered music news from taking flight in the entertainment biz. But enough! Let’s get over it and move on to other stories. No doubt it will be hard, and many will face separation anxiety, but we here at ShowBizCafe have prepared a roundup of 5 stories to help you ease back into the swing of things.
5. The X Factor’s Paulina Rubio gets called crazy by ex-husband.
The custody battle for the ex-couple’s son heats up even more. According to TMZ, Rubio’s ex-husband Nicolás Vallejo-Nájera has put the singer’s mental stability into question and has asked the court to have her go through a mandatory psychiatric evaluation in order to prove that she is not capable of taking care of their child Andrea Nicolás

3. Rihanna shares some racy shots on Instagram
Last night right before “Breaking Bad” Rihanna gave fans a naughty preview of her “Pour It Up” video by posting a series of pictures of her wearing a white Marilyn-Monroe-styled wig and some barely-there outfits.
Here are a few of the bunch:
2. Katy Perry released her album’s third single at midnight.
Last night Katy Perry debuted her latest single “Walking on Air.” During an interview with MTV News, the singer said that it is “a universal love song that everyone’s going to be able to relate to no matter the age, no matter male or female. It’s my favorite song off the record.” The song gives you a 90s flashback with a tint of euro-dance and house influence and though it definitely won’t reach the success of “Roar,” it is definitely a great jam that deserves a listen. smarturl.it/PRISM
1. Justin Timberlake’s “The 20/20 Experience – 2 of 2” is finally out in stores.
The awaited second half of Timberlake’s comeback is finally available in stores today. The follow-up album which takes the audience on a dark, and right down animalistic experience was produced with the help of Timbaland as well as Jerome “J-Roc” Harmon; it also features cameos by Drake and Jay-Z. With the more gentleman-like “1 of 2” becoming the bestselling album of 2013 so far, many are doubtful that the successor can achieve those stellar levels, but I guess we’ll just have to wait and see if fans like the rougher side of JT better when the numbers are out.
So you see folks, with all the drama, naughtiness and new releases in music it might not be so bad without “Breaking Bad” after all. Let us know which story you think is the most exciting in the comments below.
