We begin the last week of February with eight movie releases and they’re mostly a combination between B-Movies and foreign films. Perhaps the biggest film of the week is ‘Son of God’ from 20th Century Fox which is making a big push with Hispanic audiences. Interesting is that they’re pushing a “Latino” Jesus, yet he was born in Lisbon, Portugal, making him European and Portuguese, not Latino from Latin America. Fox must think we’re idiots to fall for this gag. Nevertheless, audiences should have fun with the return of Liam Neeson to the B-movie genre with Non-Stop (directed by a Spaniard). Absurd escapism at its best!

8. The Lunchbox (PG, 104 min, Drama/Romance, Limited)

Cast: Irrfan Khan, Nimrat Kaur, Nawazuddin Siddiqui
Synopsis: A mistaken delivery in Mumbai’s famously efficient lunchbox delivery system connects a young housewife to an older man in the dusk of his life as they build a fantasy world together through notes in the lunchbox.
7. Two Lives (97 min, Drama/Thriller, Limited)
Director: Georg Maas, Judith Kaufmann
Cast: Juliane Köhler, Liv Ullmann, Sven Nordin
Synopsis: As the Berlin Wall crumbles, Katrine, the daughter of a Norwegian woman and a German occupation soldier, finds her idyllic life disrupted as she refuses to testify a trial against the Norwegian state on behalf of her fellow “war children.”

6. HairBrained (PG-13, Comedy, Limited)
Director: Billy Kent
Cast: Alex Wolff, Brendan Fraser, Julia Garner
Synopsis: When 14-year old genius/outcast Eli Pettifog is rejected from Harvard, he ends up at Ivy League wannabe Whittman College. It’s hate at first sight. At Whittman, Eli meets 41- year-old freshman Leo Searly. Leo, a gambler whose world has imploded, has dropped out of life to enroll in college. This odd duo becomes unlikely friends.

3. Stalingrad: An IMAX 3D Experience (R, 131 min, Action/War)
