Transformers: The Last Knight is the fifth installment of the Transformers franchise series and is a direct sequel to 2014’s “Transformers: Age of Extinction” which is hitting theaters on June 23, 2017. It’s also Michael Bay‘s final Transformers film to be directed by Bay. The cast includes Mark Wahlberg, Anthony Hopkins, Josh Duhamel, Laura Haddock, Jerrod Carmichael, and Isabela Moner. It looks good. I’m sure Bay is going to go out with a bang.
I had a chance to talk about The Circle on the TODAY show all the way back in April. It is the 10th book from acclaimed author Dave Eggers. The tone is similar to that of George Orwell’s classic “1984”. It chronicles a woman who joins her dream job at The Circle (think if Apple and Google got together to make a company), the most powerful internet company in the world, but her dream starts to slowly become a nightmare. The book is part satire and part corporate thriller, but it raises questions about privacy, freedom, and democracy. Emma Watson, Tom Hanks, and John Boyega star in the film which will come out on April 28, 2017. I can’t wait for this one. Seems like a cerebral thriller, just as I like them!
