Jennifer Lopez And Viola Davis To Star In Lifetime Film’s ‘Lila and Eve’

A Lifetime Film? Looks like Jennifer Lopez isn’t the A-list star she used to be. Lopez and Viola Davis will be coming soon to a small screen near you. Lifetime Films and A+E Studios are set to produce the independent feature film Lila & Eve starring Academy Award and Golden Globe nominee Davis (The Help, Doubt) and Golden Globe Award nominee Lopez (Out of Sight, Selena). The film is targeted toward a festival premiere and theatrical release in late 2014 or early 2015. Read More

Through Facebook I was informed that El Cacique de la Junta better known as Diomedes Díaz, one of Colombia’s biggest names in music, passed away Sunday Dec. 22 at the age of 56. He was the Frank Sinatra of the vallenato music genre (the native folklore music of Colombia). As a Colombian and fan of his music I was saddened, and thought this news only pertained to my fellow Colombians, I was wrong.
