Den Of Thieves (Movie Review)

01.22.2018 | By |

The 2-8-0: #DenofThieves sets the bar on how action films need to be this year! It has high-speed chases, shootouts, and an unforgettable ending. This is one of Gerard Butler’s most entertaining films.  Read More

Time’s Up! The 2018 Golden Globes’ Branded In Reclamation, Inclusivity and Purpose

01.8.2018 | By |

This year’s Golden Globes, a usually festive, yet historically disreputable and controversial show, had an air of legitimacy behind its wings last night. It was the first time that I took the Globes seriously and that began with the commitment from a diverse group of Hollywood women who gave the Time’s Up movement meaning and intention. The night also gave way to an overarching theme of reclamation, inclusivity, and purpose. Read More

Eugenio Derbez, Anna Faris and Eva Longoria Bring The Laughs In Overboard Remake Trailer

12.21.2017 | By |

Eugenio Derbez is at again. His new film which he is producing and starring in with co-stars Anna Faris and Eva Longoria is a remake of Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell’s “Overboard” from 1987. The movie wasn’t that good, but it did have some occasional laughs along with some lovable performances from Hawn and her beau. Can this quasi-Latino ensemble create something better? Read More

This Is Not A Joke. ‘Condorito: The Movie’ Is Actually Being Released And We Can’t Wait For It!

12.18.2017 | By |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qctaFDEz8bg

I can’t believe this movie is actually going to be released. When I lived in Colombia as a kid, I used get sick a lot and one of the most satisfying things I used to ask my Aunt Doris to bring me to the hospital to make me feel better were Condorito comics. Those PLOP! moments were everything for me. I would laugh so much from the drawings, the charatcters, the dialogue, it was all so funny to me. Hopefully this movie is just as hilarious as I remember them as a kid. Read More

Coco,” the 19th film from Pixar, is a return to form for the stumbling animation company which has re-found its footing with its colorful characters, striking vivid cinematography, and a heartwarming story of family and tradition. Set in Mexico, a young boy (Anthony Gonzalez) dreams of becoming a musician just like his great-great-grandfather Ernesto de la Cruz (Benjamin Bratt). But when his family prohibits him from playing music, he finds himself magically transported to the Land of the Dead on Dia de Los Muertos meeting his past relatives and discovering a deeper connection to himself and to his family’s history. Justice League (Movie Review)

11.14.2017 | By |

The 2-8-0: #JusticeLeague is a modest and sufficiently entertaining film that delivers all the predictable offerings we expect from films of this nature – action, fights, explosions and cheesy one-liners. It’s not as good as The Avengers, but what is. Read More

Watch Trailer #2 Of Netflix’s ‘The Punisher’

10.19.2017 | By |

There have been three different versions of The Punisher on screen and the last one I saw, I walked out of for being offensive to my tastes. This TV adaptation that Marvel and Netflix have joined forces on seems to have the potential to be the definitive work of the comic book anti-hero. Watch the trailer and leave your thoughts in the comments below… Read More
