Michelle Veintimilla has a solid resumé which includes performing on Broadway with legendary icon Chita Rivera, working in the film opposite Russell Crowe, Octavia Spencer, and Aaron Paul, as well as TV credits in “Blue Bloods” and “The Goodwife”. She joins the podcast today to talk about how she got the part of **Firefly**, why identifying as Hispanic is important in Hollywood and the reasons why she isn’t a fan of **telenovelas**.

Since this interview, Veintimilla has worked steadily in television, including roles in *The Gifted* (FOX) and *Queen of the South* (USA Network). *Gotham* wrapped its five-season run in April 2019, but her performance as Firefly remains a fan favorite.
