During March of 2013 Catherine Ochoa competed on the fourth season of NBC’s “The Voice.” She started out in team Shakira and was then swept away by team Usher. Though she was eliminated during the Live Playoffs, that didn’t stop this young singer from continuing her career. Now a year after she left the show she has a new EP out called “Unbreakable,” which debuted at No. 16 on the Latin iTunes chart on March 1, the day of the release, and is still going strong at No. 27. We begin the last week of February with eight movie releases and they’re mostly a combination between B-Movies and foreign films. Perhaps the biggest film of the week is ‘Son of God’ from 20th Century Fox which is making a big push with Hispanic audiences. Interesting is that they’re pushing a “Latino” Jesus, yet he was born in Lisbon, Portugal, making him European and Portuguese, not Latino from Latin America. Fox must think we’re idiots to fall for this gag. Nevertheless, audiences should have fun with the return of Liam Neeson to the B-movie genre with Non-Stop (directed by a Spaniard).
