‘This Week In Movies’ is a weekly column that catches you up on all the new film releases coming out in theaters. This week, only 7 films make their debut. Will you watch any? Read on!
This week’s new releases feel like the movies you see after an hour of searching the Netflix archives and these are the only films that come up. Perhaps the most interesting movies that even intrigue me are the Bollywood film Saaho and the Asian animation Ne Zha. The rest feel generic. Nevertheless, making movies takes time and effort and is always difficult to do See what else might interest you and remember to listen to our podcast every Friday for our review of movies and interviews with filmmakers and other notable figures of American and Latino pop culture.

Synopsis: After a man’s family dies in what appears to be a murder, he gets a phone call from one of the dead, his niece. He’s not sure if she’s a ghost or if he’s going mad, but as it turns out, he’s not.

Synopsis: A pair of sisters find out that the mother they thought was dead is alive and starring in a soap opera.

Synopsis: The Primus extracts a Mixed Yuan Bead into a spirit bead and a demon bead. The spirit bead can be reincarnated into a human to help King Zhou establish a new dynasty, the demon bead will create a devil and harm humans. Ne Zha is the one who should be the spirit bead hero but he becomes a devil incarnate because the spirit bead and the demon bead are switched.
