Motown is a timeless genre that has no expiration date. Bruno Mars is heavily influenced by the sound and there is even a Broadway musical called Motown The Musical, based on the life of Motown founder Berry Gordy, that began performances on July 12th. It’s heaven to hear. It has Diana Ross swinging and crooning sweet jazz sounds. The vocals are not by any means Ella or Billie, but they provide a refreshing sound to the classic pop jazz of the times. Have a listen, you’ll be indulgent from the start! Read More
