Sacha Baron Cohen was in NYC this past week to talk about his new action comedy – The Brothers Grimsby – a James Bond like buddy film where moments can get VERY uncomfortable amongst brothers. Holy shit! Marvel actually pulled it off. They somehow managed to negotiate the rights of the character from Sony Pictures to use the Web Wonder in their Marvel films. Spidey’s appearance has easily catapulted Marvel’s ‘Captain America: Civil War‘ as the most anticipated film of 2016 over WB’s ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ film. Read More

With the academy awards coming up, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver tackles Hollywood whitewashing in a humorous yet unflinching way. The focus of the video is self-explanatory, but this whole idea that there aren’t enough good roles for people of color is utter balderdash. Even when roles do exist, they still can be played by white actors. Just ask Emma Stone. Her portrayal of a half-Asian woman in Aloha is perhaps the most egregious act of whitewashing in the modern era. Read More

Enough is enough! The criticism surrounding Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice might be deafening, but one look at this final trailer and it’ll leave you questioning those naysayers. Can a movie with this much epic action, superhero clashes, and sheer entertainment value truly “suck”?
