A Sympathetic Joker? WB Drops First Official “Joker” Trailer

04.3.2019 | By |

This might be the first-ever Joker you’ll sympathize with. “I used to think my life was a tragedy, but now I realize it’s a comedy.” He’s almost relatable. As the first trailer shows, Arthur Fleck is bullied, humiliated, and punched. Joaquin Phoenix seems to be exploring the profundity of the character and exhuming his never-before-seen vulnerabilities that ultimately gave way to the deranged maniac known as the Joker. Watch the trailer after the cut and see if you get the chills from this origin story. Read More

03.14.2019 | By |

Marvel’s new trailer for Avengers: Endgame, the second part of the last Avengers sequel, is a disappointing preview of what could end up becoming the biggest box-office film of all time. The trailer recaps the original characters’ journey over the last 10 years, almost like a nostalgia tour that isn’t that nostalgic. There is a new character in the universe though, that amps up the stakes toward the end. See for yourself. Avengers: Endgame arrives on April 26, 2019.

03.12.2019 | By |

Diversity and inclusion are plentiful in Disney’s new live-action classic adaptation of Aladdin. Though our two leads, Mena Massoud and Naomi Scott are still a bit unknown to the masses, it’s better to have them cast authentically rather than to have them whitewashed much like Jake Gyllenhaal’s 2009 Prince of Persia video game adaptation.
