06.25.2014 | By |

The last WWII movie I saw was “Monuments Men” by George Clooney. It was a disappointment. Clooney’s best friend, Brad Pitt, has decided to do one as well but with more bite, more drama, and darker. Watch the trailer of “Fury” which also stars Michael Peña, Shia LeBouef, and Logan Lerman. Is it Oscar-worthy Read More

Killing Them Softly: Q&A With Director Andrew Dominik

03.26.2013 | By |

Although ‘Killing Them Softly’ director Andrew Dominik has been in the business for over a decade, he doesn’t have a long catalog of films to his name, but the few truly speak wonders of his talent. His first film ‘Chopper’ came out in 2000, a comedic crime biography film based on the story of an Australian criminal, which received three awards from the Australian film institute including best director. It gave the New Zealand born director plenty of attention. So much so, that Brad Pitt couldn’t wait to work with him for his second directed film ‘The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford’ yet another crime biography but this time dramatic film. This one also went on to get great reviews and although it had some problems with the studio thanks to the big name attached it finally came out in 2007. Five years later his third film a crime drama thriller ‘Killing Them Softly’ is here and will open this Friday, November 30th nation wide. Read More

Pitt and Portman lovers in new romantic comedy

Pitt and Portman lovers in new romantic comedy

It will be a May-December romance between two of Hollywood’s most beautiful people: Brad Pitt and Natalie Portman.

An onscreen romance, that is.

Pitt, 45, and Portman, 28, have been cast in a new romantic comedy in which he will play an aging photographer and she a New York Times food columnist, Variety reports.

The film, in the works at Paramount, is based on the book, “Important Artifacts and Personal Property From the Collection of Lenore Doolan and Harold Morris, Including Books, Street Fashion and Jewelry,” by Leanne Shapton.

They are some the hottest stars around, but will audiences like them as a couple … or will it just be weird … kind of like Jack Nicholson and Helen Hunt in “As Good as it Gets”?

De Niro, Pitt to join cast of ‘The Departed 2’?

11.15.2008 | By |

De Niro, Pitt to join cast of 'The Departed 2'?

Mark Wahlberg says a possible sequel to The Departed may feature an appearance by either Robert De Niro or Brad Pitt.

The Boogie Nights star, who received an Oscar nomination for his performance as cop Dignam in Martin Scorsese‘s version of the Hong Kong crime drama, told Digital Spy that big names have been bandied about for a sequel.

“They were talking about bringing in a couple of new guys like De Niro, maybe Brad Pitt or someone like that playing the bad guy, a corrupt politician or something,” he said. “Then, like the Hong Kong [Infernal Affairs] trilogy that the movie is based on, come back and do a prequel and bring everyone else back who was in the first.”

Wahlberg added that he would only be interested in appearing in the sequel, “If we can make it better than the first and people are willing to see it”.

Brad Pitt poses for 'Inglourious Basterds'

Quentin Tarantino has painted his WWII epic Inglourious Basterds as his take on a spaghetti western, even joking that he might title the film ‘Once Upon a Time in Nazi-Occupied France’.

This first look from the set shows Brad Pitt as Lt. Aldo Raine, leader of a group of Jewish -American soldiers, known as ‘The Basterds’ who are chosen specifically to spread fear among the Third Reich by scalping and brutally killing Nazis.
