Sacha Baron Cohen Talks Shock Comedy, “Donald Trump’s AIDS”

03.13.2016 | By |

Sacha Baron Cohen was in NYC this past week to talk about his new action comedy – The Brothers Grimsby – a James Bond like buddy film where moments can get VERY uncomfortable amongst brothers. Spanish actress and Oscar winner Penélope Cruz co-stars in it, but much like Zoolander 2, she has been opting for comedy as of late (which sounds more like she can’t get any quality work and money is running dry).   Read More

James Bond Travels To Mexico City In Official ‘Spectre’ Trailer

07.22.2015 | By |

In this brand new official trailer, James Bond infiltrates a secret meeting and uncovers the existence of the sinister organization known as SPECTRE. It’s great to see Bond visiting a Latin American city, specially one as culturally impressive as Mexico City. This is Daniel Craig‘s last Bond movie and from the looks of it, it should be on equal footing as Casino Royale, which to me, is the best Bond movie Craig has done. The movie will release November 6th. Read More

First Teaser Trailer: James Bond’s ‘Spectre’

03.31.2015 | By |

I’ve said many times before, you should be happy to be a moviegoer in 2015, it will be the biggest year in the history of movies. One reason for that statement is the new James Bond movie Spectre. It has already surpassed $300 million dollars in production costs, it boasts a return to a nostalgic villain in ‘Spectre,’ and the action will be on par with the rest of the franchise films. The fact that this movie is being released in the same year that the Avengers 2 and Star Wars is coming out is a dream come true. Enjoy the trailer and be glad you’re living in such a great movie year. Read More

Javier Bardem says no to ‘Despicable Me 2’

01.25.2012 | By |

Javier Bardem says no to 'Despicable Me 2'

There were some early rumors last year that Oscar winner Javier Bardem was going to have a role in Universal Studio’s sequel to Despicable Me. But looks as if he is no longer interested in the role.

He was reported to be in negotiations about voicing a villain called El Macho who is a larger than life luchador and the baddest Mexican to walk the Earth, but looks like commitments to ‘Skyfall‘, the new James Bond film releasing 2013, as well as Terrence Malick’s currently untitled project with Ben Affleck and Rachel McAdams.

So who is replacing Bardem in the movie? The word is that Universal Studios is doing a wide search for Latino and non-Latino actors. I’m sure they’ll audition the usual suspects. Kudos to Universal though for actually creating a Latino animated character which are rarely seen these days, even though WB’s ‘Happy Feet 2′ went towards that direction as well. It’s in Universal’s best interest since the original ‘Despicable Me‘, which was in 3D, had 25% of the box office coming in from Latino audiences.

Leave your comments below of whom you’d like to see replace Javier Bardem as the Mexican villain ‘El Macho’.

‘Despicable Me 2’ has a release date for 2013.
