Watch the first 3 minutes of 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II'!

The world wide web can sometimes be the worst enemy for many movie studios trying to keep secret its promotional campaign for its upcoming films, so as to not break the magic to the public. This is one of those cases.

Watch th first 3 leaked minutes of the upcoming film Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2directed by David Yates, starring Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Helena Bonham Carter, Alan Rickman and Rupert Grint, amongst others. The video is not in high definition but recorded with a handheld camera (perhaps an iPhone?) with English subtitles.

What you’ll see is Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) asking about his wand to an elderly man at the opening of the final film. This is the video that Warner Bros. does not want you to see.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 will be released in theaters nationwide on July 15 of this 2011. This scene will be featured on the DVD and Bluray of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 which will be released on April 15.

Let us know what you think of the scene.

Audrey Tatou to play Coco Chanel in new Warner Bros. biopic

Warner Bros. has signed on to produce and distribute the biopic ‘Coco Avant Chanel’, starring Audrey Tautou and Alessandro Nivola.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, House of Chanel art director Karl Lagerfeld has been hired to supervise re-creations of the legendary designer’s attire. Warner Bros. International is joining Haut et Court, Cine-@, Warner Bros. Entertainment France and Films Distribution as a producer on the feature.

Warner Bros., which has been in talks to join other producers on the French-language project for the past few months, plans to release the film domestically. Given the shuttering of its Picturehouse and Warner Independent Pictures divisions, Coco Avant Chanel will be one of the studio’s first new tests in handling a specialty release.

Anne Fontaine‘s adaptation of Edmonde Charles-Roux’s biography “L’irreguliere” will focus on Chanel’s early years. The four-month shoot will begin Sept. 15 in Paris, with a planned 2009 release.

Johnny Depp to be in third Batman film?

Johnny Depp to be in third Batman film?

With The Dark Knight bringing in over $400 million for Warner Brothers, it’s no surprise that everyone is trying to figure out the casting of the sequel. The latest casting rumors, courtesy of WENN have Johnny Depp and Philip Seymour Hoffman being eyed for the roles of the Riddler and the Penguin, respectively.

The role of the Riddler has previously been tackled by Frank Gorshin in the television version of Batman, with Jim Carrey wearing the question-mark covered tights in Batman Forever. Meanwhile, the Penguin was handled on television by the incomparable Burgess Meredith, and a distinctively disgusting Penguin was played by Danny DeVito in Batman Returns.

A source told the Enquirer that “(Producers) are convinced that the role of the Riddler is perfect for Depp. Johnny’s a pro. He’ll be able to take direction from director Chris Nolan and still make the character his own. And what better Penguin is there than Philip Seymour Hoffman.”

While it’s hard to argue against either Depp as the Riddler or Hoffman as the Penguin, when one considers the original source, it’s probably best to consider this one firmly in the ‘rumor’ category for now.
