Despicable Me 2: New Trailer Starring Benjamin Bratt

06.29.2013 | By |

Universal Pictures just sent me Benjamin Bratt‘s personal presentation of the new Hispanic trailer for Despicable Me 2. It highlights the Latino villain… El Macho. Like Superman, he has an alter-ego named Eduardo, a warm, charming, and flirty owner of the popular Salsa & Salsa restaurant whose passionate Latin dancing causes women to swoon. Read More

Selena Gomez’s New Movie Trailer of ‘Getaway’

06.6.2013 | By |

Unlike her eyeblink appearance in the god-awful Aftershock, Selena Gomez is at least in half of the new action thriller Getaway starring Ethan Hawke. He, by the way, has already been in two movies this year – Before Midnight (one of this year’s best) and The Purge (a follow-up horror thriller after Sinister from 2012).

After Spring Breakers and Aftershock, Gomez is really trying to break into acting all while maintaining a healthy music career. She’s about to drop a new album called Stars and Dance along with a US tour.

I still can’t get a chance to judge if she can really act. I think she has the potential to be very good, but I really need to see her with better actors around her. Read More

Salma Hayek In Trailer For Comedy Grown Ups 2

04.4.2013 | By |

“I want to get chocolate wasted” is without a doubt one of the most epic movie quotes of our generation from child Latina actress Alexys Nycole Sanchez. From college, frat boys at a house party to 10-year-old kids at an ice cream parlor we’ve all said it and loved it so much that the movie Grown Ups is back for a second round.

Columbia Pictures released the trailer for Grown Ups 2 this week. The most exciting part for us is that the Latin mother-daughter duo is back with Salma Hayek and Alexys Nycole Sanchez still playing Roxanne and Becky, the wife and daughter of Lenny (Adam Sandler). The rest of the gang: Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade, Maya Rudolph, Maria Bello, and Nick Swardson will also be back for second servings. Read More

Robert Rodriguez and his unknown Mexican horror film

Robert Rodriguez the film director, screenwriter, producer, cinematographer, editor and musician is one of the most recognized names in Hollywood and it’s pretty safe to say that if a movie that he had anything to do with came out, there would be at least a little buzz about it.

According to WorstPrevious, back in 2005, Rodriguez wrote the script for and co-produced along with Dimension Films “Curandero: Dawn of the Demon,” a supernatural thriller that flew under everyone’s radar. The film was premiered that same year at The Screamfest, Horror Film Festival in Los Angeles.  Read More

"White House Down": The 8 Minute Extended Trailer!

Yesterday afternoon a privileged few were able to partake in a rare experience. At the Regal Cinemas in Union Square, New York less than 200 fans and some members of the press saw the official trailer and an exclusive 8 minute sneak peek of what is sure to be a summer hit – “White House Down.”

Upon arrival into the theater we were all greeted with a warm bag of popcorn and choice of water or soda. Inside two cameras were set up in the middle of the room and right below the screen there were three director-style chairs. Sam Champion from Good Morning America comes out and introduces Roland Emmerich director of the film, and the actor Jaime Foxx, who made their way into the room through a separate elevator and entrance. Exclusive! First look 'K-11' poster with Kate del Castillo!

You “La Reina del Sur” telenovela fans are going to love me today! I just got my hands on the exclusive first look character poster of “K-11” with Mexican actress Kate del Castillo!

Jules Stewart, mother to Twilight star Kristen, directs del Castillo in this drama that tells the story of a man’s plight after winding up in K-11, the Los Angeles County Jail’s transgender inmate unit.

Jules Stewart and K-11 producers are being smart about capitalizing on Latino moviegoers by casting the very talented Kate del Castillo. From what I can gather, this looks like Kate’s most challenging role to date where she is showcasing her ability to play very layered characters. Kate is a thespian and in this movie she’s unforgettable!  Read More
