With the summer beginning in a few days, the action thrillers we all love to watch during the hot months of the year are starting to kick off. What better way to begin the summer in the big screen then with a classic saga like “Terminator.” Paramount Pictures were kind enough to invite us to a fantastic promotional event, held in NYC, for the new chapter in the franchise called, “Terminator Genisys” in one of the biggest block parties I have ever seen in New York City. Arnold Schwarzenegger Shows Off Acting Chops In New ‘Maggie’ Trailer

03.26.2015 | By |

In a film which will probably make us all look at Arnold Schwarzenegger in a whole new light, this new trailer features, arguably, some of the best acting Schwarzenegger has ever put on celluloid. That’s not saying much, but for one of our few real movie stars left, he’s bringing a new shine to him that we like. Read More

This Week In Movies: ‘Noah,’ ‘Sabotage,’ ‘Cesar Chavez’

03.24.2014 | By |

We begin the last week of March with ten movie releases. Arnold is back! as well as biblical films and the most anticipated Asian action film of the year amongst others. Noticeably, Latino films are trying to establish themselves as a mainstay in Hollywood with Cesar Chavez and an all-star cast of Latino actors. Protagonist Michael Peña is perhaps one of the best of them with an earshot of an Oscar sometime soon. Documentaries are rare this week with only the premise of a nanny photographer making the rounds. Apart from that, B actors from the 80s make appearances, but their films at least offer something intriguing, which means that their trailers are at least worth looking at. Read More

The 10 Best Movies To See This October!

10.1.2013 | By |

October could very well be the single best month to watch movies of 2013. When you do a quick overview of the films being released this month, five of them are the frontrunners to win Best Picture at the Oscars 2014. Many of these movies possess all star casts, top flight directors and innovative and fresh stories. They are also coming fresh off of great reviews at Venice, Telluride, Toronto and New York Film Festivals. Not to be ignored are the commercial fare which includes Arnold and Sly together in a full feature film as opposed to cameos and one of the greatest assembled cast of Hispanics in film history in ‘Machete Kills‘ and ‘The Counselor‘. Do yourself a service, if you haven’t been to the movies all year, this is the one month you should step out and watch one.

Here are 10 movies I recommend you watch…now! Read More

Stallone, Schwarzenegger: First Trailer For ‘Escape Plan’!

06.29.2013 | By |

Back in the 80s, Escape Plan would have been the movie of the year! Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger in the same movie-going one-on-one in leading roles!? What!! That’s what I’m talking about. But now both are evidently old, still living off their glory day reputations. Stallone more than Schwarzenegger is in better shape and can still have hand-to-hand combat battles, but Arnold just looks frail (they were also seen in The Expendables, but that was more a cameo than anything by Arnold). Check out the first trailer above and the new poster, plus pics after the jump. First pic of Schwarzenegger’s new movie ‘TEN’!

10.25.2012 | By |

First pic of Schwarzenegger's new movie 'TEN'!

Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s new movie TEN, directed by David Ayers (End of Watch, Street Kings, Harsh Times), about members of an elite DEA task force that find themselves being taken down one by one after they rob a drug cartel safe house, sees an Arnold playing member John ‘Breacher’ Wharton and looking like a total bad-ass!

Joining Schwarzenegger in the movie is Malin Akerman, Sam Worthington, Joe Manganiello and a few others that fill out the cast nicely.

Schwarzenegger tweeted out today a picture that shows him in DEA uniform holding a M-16 with a cool hair cut and jacked. “I’m having a great time working with @DavidAyerMovies on my new movie, Ten. Check out my look:”

The former Terminator and Governor of California has another 4 movies filming right now and they all look pretty good: Triplets, Unknown Soldier, The Stranger, The Tomb, The Last Stand. They all have a 2013/2014 release date.

What are your thoughts on Arnold’s new look? Leave your comments below.

‘Terminator 5’ will be rated R

01.28.2012 | By |

'Terminator 5' will be rated R

If Terminator 5 shooting was the wise decision is to be rated R and actually will be. The fifth installment of the Terminator, will have an R rating in the words of Megan Ellison, owner and president of Annapurna Pictures studio, which owns the rights to the series.

The first three “Terminator” were all rated R, but then the director McG for “Terminator Salvation”, decided it would be better to lower the rating to PG-13 with the hope that the franchise could be seen by a wider audience with the hope that it would result in higher gross income.

The ace up the sleeve of this fifth installment will undoubtedly be the return of Arnold Schwarzenegger to the franchise. Is he the Terminator? What character would play? All in good time boys.

Arnold to do remakes of ‘Terminator,’ ‘Predator’?

03.7.2011 | By |

Arnold to do remakes of ‘Terminator,’ ‘Predator’?

Since leaving his post as governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger has said publicly that he is interested in returning to the profession he loves – no, not bodybuilding – movies. Hollywood has heard the call of the ex Mr. Olympia and he is already considering one of three scripts. During his competitive bodybuilding he organizes every year, the Arnold Classic, Schwarzenegger was asked to give an update on the projects he is viewing.

“Well, first of all it’s more like 15 films, obvious ones from ‘The Terminator’ to remakes of ‘Predator’ and ‘The Running Man’ and all of those things,” he said.

Schwarzenegger added that there’s “also a lot of original stuff too. But I am also packaging a comic book character right now. I’m going to announce that sometime by the end of March or the beginning of April.”

Surprisingly, McG won’t be involved in any other Terminator films after his big flop with ‘Terminator: Salvation’. Justin Lin and screenwriter Chris Morgan, who are currently working on ‘Fast Five’ are now in talks for a fifth ‘Terminator ‘ with or without A-R-N-O-L-D!
