Video: Disney’s latest behind-the-scenes featurette of “The Lone Ranger”

07.1.2013 | By |

I have to say that when I first heard of Disney greenlighting The Lone Ranger, I had some major questions, in particular why Johnny Depp wasn’t in the lead role and whether action westerns are still a viable and economical avenue to amuse film-goers and generate a profit. Disney invited me to a sneak peek about a month ago and… I was pleasantly surprised. From the close to 20 minutes I saw, it was worth watching. Here is the latest The Lone Ranger featurette called “In the Elements” that should give you a better understanding of what you’ll be paying to see at the box office! Read More

'The Avengers': 6 new behind-the-scenes pictures

After the colossal failure of ‘John Carter,’ Disney is still pushing its upcoming film, The Avengers’. This time, they have released six new images with some superhero action, but highlighting the work of director Joss Whedon.

The pictures describe the boss in action while talking with Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury) and Chris Hemsworth (Thor). We also see him using the shield of Captain America, and other photos taken from his point of view as Iron Man getting ready for a scene, and Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye) shooting a villain in the air inside a studio.

Whedon will also most likely show up at the ‘The Avengers’ closing night premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival this year on April 28. The film will have its world premiere on April 11 in Los Angeles.

The Avengers brings together some of the greatest heroes the world has to face a threat that could end life on earth as we know it. The film stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Clark Gregg, Tom Hiddleston, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Jackson and Cobie Smulders.

The film opens on May 4.

New photos of ‘Spider-Man 4’ hit the web!

New photos of 'Spider-Man 4' hit the web!

New York (USA), January 26 (ShowBizCafe.com) – Seems like all of us in the film biz can’t get enough of the new Spider-Man reboot movie pre-buzz. Today we got some new behind-the-scenes photos of the movie to share with you. The paparazzi shots give us a better look at the the costume and action sequences of our New York superhero in and around the streets of Los Angeles (the film will say it takes place in New York).

The man who is in the suit, in case you were wondering, is not the star Andrew Garfield. It’s a stunt double executing all the action scenes, while Garfield, we imagine, is enjoying a cool drink as he relaxes in his hotel room. The costume, from this point of view, looks gaudy. While the fabric is of tremendous quality, the suit itself looks ridiculous, to the point that if someone dressed like that were to run up to us in real life, we’d be laughing our asses off in his face!

Spider-Man 4‘ has a cast that consists of Rhys Ifans as The Lizard, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Martin Sheen as Ben Parker, Sally Field as May Parker, and Denis Leary as George Stacy. The film, directed by Marc Webb, will be released in 3D on July 3, 2012.
