One of the more talked about Latino films at this year’s Sundance Film Festival was Cassandro, starring Gael García Bernal. The film centers around Saúl Armendáriz, a gay wrestler from El Paso, Texas, often referred to as “The Liberace of Lucha Libre”. His creative performance style and immense skill garnered him recognition and acclaim. The movie is directed by filmmaker Roger Ross Williams and stars Gael García Bernal.
To commemorate the premiere of the film, the cast and crew gathered in person with the press at Park City for a red carpet and engaging Q&A session which highlighted details of the creative process of putting the film together and showcased Gael’s enthusiasm for the project.
