Perhaps someone put something funky in the water recently because suddenly it seems that many Hollywood actors have been itching … that is, itching to sing. In a matter of days a Ghostbuster, Wolverine, Barney Stinson, and Marshall Ericksen have all given random showstopping musical performances.
Bill Murray: “House of the Rising Sun”
According to Rolling Stone, last Friday Bill Murray was all about the cover songs and the tambourine. Last week the actor and comedian was down in St. Agustine, Fla. for the annual Caddyshack Charity Golf Game and Friday he deemed it appropriate to take the stage at Murray Bros. Caddyshack Restaurant – the restaurant he owns with his five brothers – to deliver a performance that, according to TMZ, lasted a beautiful 45 minutes. The song captured on video was the Animals’ “House of the Rising Sun.”
Hugh Jackman: “Who Am I” (Parody)
According to the LA Times, over the weekend Hugh Jackman was just passing by BBC Radio 1 to talk about the upcoming “X Men: Days of Future Past.” During the interview host Matt Edmonson asked the actor to take the stage to sing, “Who Am I” from Les Misérables as Wolverine. The host rewrote the song before the show and the actor belted it live.
Those videos were hilarious no? And guess what, it’s April Fool’s Day so here are two bonus viral web moments provided by films:
“Bride Wars” – Blue Hair
Two best friends become rivals when they find out that they both want to marry at The Plaza on the same date. They both begin a crude prank war to make the other compromise. One of the funniest is when Emma Allen (Anne Hathaway) switches Olivia Lerne’s hair dye causing her to have blue hair just a few days from the wedding.
