From what I’ve been personally hearing, word on the rated R scarefest of “The Conjuring” is divided. I’ve been told in my face that it’s tame and a snoozer and then been told that it’s really scary. Sheesh, which one is it? Like always, I have to see it for myself because I can’t trust other friends of mine who are critics. I’m seeing it soon, but from the two trailers I have already seen, my current fave horror director James Wan (Saw, Insidious 1 & 2) amps the suspense to a 10. But I’ve been fooled before by misleading trailers. Watch this third trailer and tell me what you think – bomb or hit?
Official synopsis: Before there was Amityville, there was Harrisville. Based on the true life story, “The Conjuring” tells the tale of how world-renowned paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren were called upon to help a family terrorized by a dark presence in a secluded farmhouse. Forced to confront a powerful demonic entity, the Warrens find themselves caught in the most horrifying case of their lives.
This film has been rated R for sequences of disturbing violence and terror.
