Latinos beware! From producer Eli Roth (Hostel, Cabin Fever), The Last Exorcism Part II is out to make sure you are scarred for life!
CBS Films, a fairly new movie studio, known for making B-movies such as The Back-up Plan with Jennifer Lopez, Faster with The Rock, and Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, is planning on capitalizing on the Latinos who went to see Guillermo del Toro’s Latino based supernatural film MAMÁ a few weeks ago. According to THR.com, 47% of Latinos attended the movie and have a deep inclination for horror films. This is where CBS Films wants to cash in.
Continuing where the first film left off, Nell Sweetzer (Ashley Bell) is found terrified and alone in rural Louisiana. Back in the relative safety of New Orleans, Nell realizes that she can’t remember entire portions of the previous months only that she is the last surviving member of her family. Just as Nell begins the difficult process of starting a new life, the evil force that once possessed her is back with other, unimaginably horrific plans that mean her last exorcism was just the beginning.
The suspense/horror movie The Last Exorcism Part II opens March 1st, 2013.
