Jude Law has never seemed to me like a leading star. A) He looks too pretty to me for me to take him seriously in a heavyweight role, B) He’s a tiny pinch of a man that looks like the wind would blow him away.
But in ‘Don Hemingway‘, his new black comedy, he looks like a real man – gained weight, muscle and has a man’s beard – who now looks like a leading star. The film made its North American debut at the TIFF to rave reviews. We have trailer for you to see with Mexican actor and Oscar nominee Demián Bichir who sounds like he has a European accent. Take a look!
Official synopsis: Jude Law plays DOM HEMINGWAY, a larger-than-life safecracker with a loose fuse who is funny, profane, and dangerous. After twelve years in prison, he sets off with his partner in crime Dickie (Richard E. Grant) looking to collect what he’s owed for keeping his mouth shut and protecting his boss Mr. Fontaine (Demian Birchir). After a near death experience, Dom tries to re-connect with his estranged daughter (Emilia Clarke), but is soon drawn back into the only world he knows, looking to settle the ultimate debt.
Dom Hemingway is coming to a theater near you April 4th, 2014. In other words – 4/4/14.
