Seth Rogen’s and James Franco’s bromance goes way back to 1999 when they both got their big acting break for NBC’s “Freaks and Geeks.” Since then, the two bros have worked on hits like “Pineapple Express,” “This is the End” and their latest “Bound 3.”
For their new video Rogen and Franco show fans just how much they love each other by remaking Kanye West’s explicit “Bound 2” clip. Rogen plays a topless Kim’s while straddling Franco who plays Kanye and from there on out, the bros recreate the whole video “Shot. For. Shot,” smooching included.
Rogen and Franco certainly aren’t the only two bros in Hollywood willing to show the world their mutual affection, so let’s take a look at four other great Hollywood bromance stories.
4. Adam Sandler and Rob SchneiderThis funny duo hit it off back in their Saturday Night Live days and together they have 15 films together. As good friends as they are, it’s also true that he is as good a friend with many of his other buds. “I went outside the other day and I had a new Maserati in the driveway,” Chris Rock said on the Howard Stern show. It turns out that after the success of “Grown Ups” Sandler was feeling generous with all of his co-stars.
3. Ben Stiller and Owen WilsonThese two bros, can’t stay away from each other so if they are not hanging out they are probably looking for projects to do together. They have done a total of 12 films together and that may soon turn in 13 as IMBD states that “Zoolander 2” was recently announced and Owen Wilson is rumored to take the role of Hansel.
2. Matt Damon and Ben AffleckWay before they were famous Matt Damon and Ben Affleck were childhood friends. They went to school together, worked at a movie theater together, and even picked up cigarettes together. “Ben and I started [smoking] when we were in high school,” he told Yahoo! UK. “We’d see the great actors – Brando, James Dean, Mickey Rourke, who we loved back then – smoking, and we just thought it was fucking cool.” Since then both actors are still inseparable and even live down the street from each other in Los Angeles. In the same interview Damon said that they are working on various projects but their most advanced is a biopic about James “Whitey” Bulger, a Robin Hood like Mob boss. Damon will play Bulger and Affleck will direct.
1. Patrick Stewart with Ian McKellenThese two best friends kill every other bromance in Hollywood and in life really. They are the cutest, most loving friends that ever existed. “When we first met, [Patrick] was still feeling an exile in LA,” he said during an interview with Indie London. “He loved to hear my stories about London, just as I loved to hear his stories about Hollywood. We’re so close, we’re the same person really!” They are so close that since they met back in the 70s as young lads Sir Ian officiated Sir Patrick’s wedding, they take amazing Instagram photos in new your city, travel together and even greet warmly embrace each other. They are currently starring in “No Man’s Land” and “Waiting for Godot” at the Cort Theatre in New York.
