Second Trailer of ‘Hot Pursuit’ Starring Sofia Vergara

After showing off her elegance and beauty in the current May issue of Vanity Fair, Colombian star Sofia Vergara gets her hands dirty in the second trailer of Hot Pursuit co-starring Reese Witherspoon. Here’s the trailer that just dropped today…

Both Vergara and Witherspoon need this movie to work. Vergara is trying to transition from the small screen to the big screen in a successful way. ABC’s Modern Family can’t last forever and she must be looking for her next BIG thing. Witherspoon was just nominated for an Oscar for her performance in Wild, but indie films don’t fill the piggy bank. She needs to have a box-office hit again and she’s betting that Hot Pursuit will do that. I don’t think so.

The comedy is a female buddy movie, a la The Heat starring Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy, which made $229,930,771 at the box-office in 2013. Let’s wish Vergara and Witherspoon good luck. They’re going to need it.

Official synopsis: An uptight and by-the-book cop (Reese Witherspoon) tries to protect the sexy and outgoing widow (Sofia Vergara) of a drug boss as they race through Texas pursued by crooked cops and murderous gunmen.
