This Week In Movies: ‘The Boss,’ ‘Demolition,’ ‘Mr. Right’

04.5.2016 | By |

It’s April and we’re past the ubiquitous chatter of the divisive #BvS movie. We look towards the great films and documentaries April offers and this week is a good example. 13 movies are released this week and they provide some star power along with very interesting stories.

Take for instance The Invitation, a thriller about a man at dinner with his ex-wife and new husband that turns into a nightmarish experience far beyond what we could normally think. Jake Gyllenhall’s Demolition is another opportunity to see Jake at work. He’s easily one of the best actors we have today. He teams up with director Jean-Marc Vallée who did the Oscar nominated film, Dallas Buyers Club. But the docs are the gems this week. Check out The Dying of the Light, a doc  about the movie business, particularly, the lives and stories of the last generation of career projectionists. A must see for anyone who loves film projectors. There’s a lot more to experience this week so read on, pick a film or two and tell us all about it.
