Your NYC Guide To The Must – See Concerts This Fall!

New York City in the Fall is absolutely fabulous – this is a fact. A Fall day spent in the City allows for endless exploration from day to night as the blazing summer temperatures have gone and the crisp slightly cool air keeps you moving.  Besides the Fall foliage in Central Park, the New York Food and Wine Festival and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade NYC brings an amazing array of live shows ripe for your listening pleasure. So in celebration of the Fall we have gathered up a list of the City’s must-see shows for October and November.

OCTOBER

The Flaming Lips

Terminal 5, New York, NY – Wednesday Oct. 2, 7:00 p.m.

The Flaming Lips are an experimental rock band. On April 16, the group released its thirteenth studio album “The Terror.”  In 2002 Q magazine named it one of “the 50 best bands to see before you die.”

Lorde

Warsa, Brooklyn, NY – Thursday Oct. 3, 8: 00 p.m.

This 16-year-old from New Zealand released her EP “The Love Club” and the single “Royals.” On Sept. 27 she released her debut album “Pure Heroine.” 

The Weeknd

Radio City Music Hall – Monday Oct. 7, 8:00 p.m./Tuesday Oct. 8, 8:00 p.m./

Roseland Ballroom – Saturday Oct. 26, 8:00 p.m.

Abel Tesfaye is a Canadian R&B performer better known as The Weeknd. His latest album “Kiss Land” was released on Sept. 10.

Sara Bareilles

Radio City Music Hall, – Wednesday Oct. 9, 8:00 p.m.

Sara Bareilles is a platinum selling artists mostly known for the No.1 pop single “Love Song.” On July 12, Bareilles released her latest album “The Blessed Unrest.”

Selena Gomez

Barclays Center, – Wednesday Oct. 16, 7:00 p.m.

Selena Gomez is an American actress and recording artist. Her solo debut album “Stars Dance” was released on July 19.

Franz Ferdinand

Hammerstein Ballroom, – Tuesday Oct. 22, 8:00 p.m.

Franz Ferdinand is an indie rock band best known for their single “Take Me Out.” On August 26 they released their fourth studio album “Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action.”

Robin Thicke

Highline Ballroom, – Wednesday Oct. 23, 10:30 p.m.

GQ presents the Gentlemen Give Back Concert with a performance by Robin Thicke. The singer is an award-winning multiplatinum superstar. He released his sixth studio album “Blurred Lines” on July 30 which includes this year’s hottest single by the same name.

The Wanted

Roseland Ballroom – Saturday Oct. 26, 8:00 p.m.

The Wanted Is an English-Irish boy band best known in the U.S. for “Chasing the Sun” and “Glad you Came.”  On April 2012 they released their debut American EP “The Wanted” and they are set to debut their third studio album “Word of Mouth” this November.

Drake

Barclays Center – Monday Oct. 28, 7:00 p.m.

Drake is a  Canadian recording rapper and songwriter. He released his third studio album, “Nothing was the Same” on Sept. 24.

John Legend

Beacon Theatre – Monday Oct. 28, 8:00 p.m./Tuesday Oct. 29, 8:00 p.m.

John Legend is an award-winning musician. On Sept. 3 he released his fourth studio album “Love in the Future.”

Ed Sheeran

Madison Square Garden  – Friday Oct. 29, 8:00 p.m., Friday Nov. 1, 8:00 p.m./Thursday Nov. 7, 8:00 p.m.

Ed Sheeran is an English singer-songwriter. His Debut album “+” was released on Sept. 12, 2011 and since then he has been collaborating with high profile artists such as Taylor Swift.

NOVEMBER

Steve Aoki & Pharrell Williams

Steve Aoki is an electro house DJ and record producer. In December of last year he released his first EP “It’s The End of the World As We Know It.” He has collaborated with various artists most recently with Linkin Park on “A Light That Never Comes.”

Pharrel Williams is a singer-songwriter, rapper and record producer. Most recently he was featured on Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky” and Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines.”

M.I.A.

Terminal 5 – Monday Nov. 4, 7:00 p.m.

M.I.A. is a Sri Lankan-British recording artist, songwriter. Her fourth studio album “Matangi” will be released on Nov.5 and its first single “Bring the Noize” was released on June 17.

Justin Timberlake

Barclays Center – Wednesday Nov. 6, 8:00 p.m.

Justin Timberlake is a singer-songwriter. He released “The 20/20 Experience” on March 15 and then “The 20/20 Experience — 2 of 2” on Sept. 27.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis

The Theater at Madison Square Garden – Wednesday Nov. 13, 7:30 p.m. /Thursday Nov. 14, 7:30 p.m./ Friday Nov. 15, 7:30 p.m.

The hip-hop duo came out on the scene with their debut full-length album “The Heist,” released Oct. 9, 2012.

Kanye West
